I like these designs for the characters, they really pop out from the background! I think you did well conveying that the cats are indeed in the place of no stars...there's no doubting that. I think you did nicely on the paws(though on the hind paw of the grey cat, I thought the tail was a paw for a second...lol)

Now, I like this piece, it stands out, but I do think that the cats anatomy could use a little work. Of course, since they are manga styled(aren't they) you can always take a bit of creative freedom. Mostlythe thing that bothers me most about them are their muzzels. They lose a bit of their catish appearance because you didn't get their placement in comparison to their heads. They look a bit too sloped to me.

Anyway, over all this is a very nice piece, and all the colors meld together well. I like their front paws especially, so great job on on that!
